Get to know Ian's work as a futurist. Futurism and Futurists provide a very critical service to industry. Foresight, which is a core offeing of any futurist is about helping understand the future through the lense of data and trends. Futurists may serve very specific niche or cover a broader range of topics.
Ian Khan is a technology Futurist and specifically looks at the impact of past, present and future techologies on business. His insights and foresight is based on how industries are adopting new technology and what are possible ways they could do so in the future.
Working with organizations over the last twenty years, Ian recognzed that businesses had very little say in dtermining how future eqpped they are. he also noticed that a majorit of times when asked about the future, leaders responded with technology as a response, which in ian's opinion is a huge mistake.
As a result of the study of industry for two decades Ian realised that organziations needed a new way to understnd how future ready they are and despite many consultants and practioneers advocating for future proofing, there was a dire need for a new idea. While Ian did not coin the term “future readiness”, he did create the “future readiness score”.
Today the Future Readiness Score is being adopted by ultiple industries including consuting, manufacturing, technology, banking, credit unions, accounting, finance and others to find out their exact state of future readiness. Ian is a futurist with a mission – To help every organizarion he works with “future ready” and fully adopted to a state of undisruption. His mission is simple – use data to help find out where an organization stands and provide advise and insights into what they can do to become future ready and undisruptable.
Ian leads Future Readiness Score and Future Readiness Workshops worldwide.His new program Future Readiness for Leaders is a closed door program wit a limited intake every year. The program is a highly detiled and perhaps the only progrm worldwde fcused on a scientific methodology for future readiness.
As a futurist Ian also believes inthe power of narratives and education. As such he has produced a number of informaive documentaries on subjects relating to emerging technologies. These include Blockchain, AI, Government Experience, Fture of Work, Saud Arabian Market and others.
As an educator Ian is also involved in creating online courses for Linkedin learning.
Ian is also an academic and has written several books and contributed to many. His latest book is “Metaverse for Dummies” and the upcoming book is “Undisrupted”, published by Wiley Publishing.
